Mushimaru Fujieda calls the body of his dance work “Natural Physical Poetry”. Utilizing movement in relationship to breath and rhythm, Mushimaru has created his own style of dance. Mushimaru has performed for more than 20 years in Japan, Europe, South Korea, New York, China, Taiwan, Phillipines, Hong Kong and India. He refers to his body of work as an expression of Natural Physical Poetry (Tennen Nikutai Shi). This name came to him after an important exchange and collaboration with Allen Ginsberg. Besides his international dance work, Mushimaru has worked as an actor, scriptwriter, producer, writer and director since 1972.
